Our work is underpinned by the Poole Harbour Recreation 2019 Supplementary Planning Document, which was prepared jointly by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council and Dorset Council (DC) with the advice of Natural England. The Bird and Recreation Initiative sits within the Environment Mitigation Delivery Team at Dorset Council.
The steering group is made up of representatives from BCP and DC planning, environmental advice, and finance teams, alongside Natural England, who guide and approve mitigation projects submitted to ensure that mitigation is meeting the highest standard and cost efficiency.
